Job Summary
The Executive Principal (Group Principal) will provide strategic, academic, administrative, and operational leadership across all schools under Wisdom Schools Rwanda.
The successful candidate will oversee curriculum implementation, staff development, student achievement, institutional governance, financial management, quality assurance, innovation, and compliance with national and international education standards.
The role requires an inspiring leader capable of transforming schools into centres of excellence through visionary leadership, accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
The Executive Principal will:
Strategic Leadership
- Provide visionary leadership for all schools and academic programs.
- Develop and implement institutional strategic plans.
- Lead organizational growth and expansion initiatives.
- Build a culture of innovation, excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Academic Excellence
- Ensure effective implementation of the national curriculum.
- Monitor teaching quality and classroom effectiveness.
- Improve student academic performance through evidence-based strategies.
- Coordinate internal and external assessments.
- Promote English language proficiency among teachers and students.
- Maintain high academic standards across all campuses.
Human Resource Management
- Supervise head teachers, academic leaders, and administrative teams.
- Oversee recruitment, induction, mentoring, and professional development.
- Conduct staff performance evaluations.
- Promote a culture of accountability through performance contracts.
- Strengthen teamwork and leadership capacity.
Financial and Operational Management
- Oversee budgeting and financial planning.
- Manage institutional resources effectively.
- Ensure efficient utilization of school assets.
- Prepare institutional reports and performance analyses.
Student Development
- Promote discipline, positive behaviour, and student welfare.
- Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage extracurricular and dual-enrollment programs.
- Promote environmental conservation initiatives.
Compliance and Partnerships
- Ensure compliance with Ministry of Education, Rwanda Education Board (REB), NESA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Build partnerships with local and international educational institutions.
- Strengthen institutional visibility and community engagement.
Digital Transformation
- Promote ICT integration in teaching and learning.
- Lead Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption in education.
- Encourage digital innovation and educational technology.
- Support environmental sustainability initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess:
- Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, Educational Management, Educational Administration, or a related field.
- PhD is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 10 years’ professional experience in education.
- At least 5 years in senior educational leadership.
- Experience managing multiple schools or large educational institutions.
- Experience in Secondary Education, TVET, Nursing, or Health Sciences is an added advantage.
