The RISE Programme (Resilience in Secondary Education) is a transformative national initiative designed to expand access to secondary education for out-of-school youth in Rwanda. Through blended learning, digital education platforms, and community-based support systems, the programme equips learners with academic qualifications, digital competencies, and practical life skills necessary for future success.

The programme plays a key role in advancing educational inclusion, digital literacy, and workforce readiness among young people across Rwanda.


Job Purpose

The Learning Facilitator will support learners through blended and digital education programs by delivering engaging learning sessions, mentoring students, facilitating technology-based instruction, and ensuring learner retention and academic progress.

Successful candidates will help create an inclusive and supportive learning environment while promoting digital skills development and educational achievement.


Key Responsibilities

1. Learning Facilitation

  • Deliver face-to-face and blended learning sessions effectively.
  • Guide learners through digital lessons, coursework, and assessments.
  • Encourage active learner participation and engagement.
  • Facilitate collaborative and interactive educational activities.

2. Digital Learning Support

  • Assist learners in using digital devices and online learning platforms.
  • Provide basic ICT and technical support during learning sessions.
  • Promote digital literacy and technology adoption among participants.
  • Support implementation of e-learning strategies and tools.

3. Mentorship and Student Support

  • Provide academic guidance and learner coaching.
  • Offer psychosocial support to improve learner retention.
  • Motivate students to achieve educational goals.
  • Deliver career guidance and personal development mentoring.

4. Monitoring, Administration, and Reporting

  • Monitor learner attendance and academic performance.
  • Maintain accurate educational records and documentation.
  • Record assessments and learner achievements.
  • Prepare timely reports and progress updates.

5. Community Engagement

  • Collaborate with local leaders and community stakeholders.
  • Raise awareness about educational opportunities offered by the programme.
  • Support inclusive, safe, and learner-centered environments.
  • Strengthen community participation in educational initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

To qualify for this Learning Facilitator position, applicants should possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of digital learning tools and technologies.
  • Experience using e-learning platforms and educational software.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Fluency in both Kinyarwanda and English.
  • Demonstrated passion for education and youth empowerment.
  • Preferred age range: 21–35 years.
