Position Summary

The Education Outreach and English Language Coordinator will oversee educational outreach programs targeting students, teachers, universities, and educational institutions throughout Rwanda.

The successful candidate will also manage EducationUSA initiatives, coordinate English language programs, promote American Studies, and collaborate closely with the Regional English Language Office (RELO) to strengthen English language education and workforce readiness programs.


Main Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating education outreach activities with secondary schools, colleges, and universities.
  • Promoting EducationUSA advising services and study opportunities in the United States.
  • Developing and implementing English language education programs.
  • Supporting teacher training and professional development initiatives.
  • Coordinating workforce readiness and English language projects.
  • Organizing educational workshops, seminars, conferences, and outreach events.
  • Promoting American Studies programs.
  • Building partnerships with educational institutions and government stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and evaluating educational programs.
  • Preparing reports and documenting program outcomes.
  • Supporting both physical and virtual educational initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following fields:

  • English
  • Education
  • Applied Linguistics
  • Communications
  • International Relations
  • Or another closely related discipline.

Professional Experience

Candidates should have at least three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • English language teaching
  • Teacher training
  • Educational program management
  • Public outreach
  • Communications
  • Marketing
  • International education
  • Cultural exchange programs

Experience working in multinational or international organizations will be an added advantage.


Language Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate fluency in:

  • English (Written and Spoken)
  • Kinyarwanda (Written and Spoken)

Excellent communication skills in both languages are essential.
