Position Overview
QT Global Software Ltd is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Senior Corporate Lawyer to provide strategic legal guidance across the organization’s operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring legal compliance, managing corporate risks, supporting local and international projects, and strengthening the company’s legal and governance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Advisory & Compliance
- Provide practical, timely, and business-focused legal advice to management and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with Rwandan laws and applicable international regulations.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise management on their implications.
- Identify potential legal risks and recommend effective mitigation measures.
Contract Drafting & Negotiation
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal agreements, including:
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Vendor and supplier contracts
- Client service agreements
- Partnership agreements
- Consultancy contracts
- Manage complex and high-value transactions, including government and cross-border contracts.
- Review bids, tenders, and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), particularly for public and donor-funded projects.

Corporate Governance & Legal Support
- Support corporate governance processes and prepare legal resolutions and corporate documentation.
- Develop and standardize legal templates, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal legal teams to ensure efficient workload management and legal service delivery.
Dispute Resolution & External Coordination
- Handle legal disputes, claims, and litigation matters.
- Represent the company during negotiations and legal proceedings when required.
- Coordinate with external legal counsel on specialized and international legal matters.
Training & Capacity Building
- Provide legal training and guidance to departments including HR, Finance, Procurement, and Project Management.
- Promote awareness of compliance requirements and legal best practices throughout the organization.
Risk Management & Reporting
- Monitor legal risks across business operations.
- Prepare regular legal reports and compliance updates for management.
- Support executive decision-making through legal analysis and risk assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree (LLM) in:
- Corporate Law
- Commercial Law
- Company Law
- Business Law
- Or a related legal discipline
Professional Experience
- 7–10 years of proven experience in corporate or commercial law.
- Strong expertise in contract drafting, negotiation, and legal advisory services.
- Experience managing large volumes of complex contracts and transactions.
- Exposure to cross-border or international legal matters is highly desirable.
- Experience in technology, consulting, or public-sector environments is an added advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory law.
Language Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
