Position Overview

CHAI is seeking a highly motivated Technical Advisor, Digital Health to support Rwanda’s National Health Intelligence Center (NHIC) and Ministry of Health in advancing the country’s digital health transformation agenda.

The successful candidate will contribute to the design, implementation, and optimization of digital health solutions, health information systems, artificial intelligence initiatives, and technology-driven decision-making frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Rwanda’s national digital health strategy implementation.
  • Advise on virtual hospital development and digital healthcare systems.
  • Strengthen health data interoperability and digital infrastructure.
  • Develop executive-level health intelligence reports and leadership briefs.
  • Coordinate digital health projects across government institutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Medical Degree (Mandatory).

CHAI is seeking an experienced Technical Advisor, Local Manufacturing to support Rwanda’s ambition of becoming a regional hub for pharmaceutical production, medical devices, and health commodity manufacturing.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Ministry of Health, policymakers, investors, development finance institutions, and private-sector stakeholders to advance local manufacturing strategies and health sector industrialization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise government leaders on pharmaceutical manufacturing policy.
  • Support development of Rwanda’s Local Manufacturing Strategy.
  • Coordinate investment and regulatory initiatives.
  • Engage international development partners and investors.
