About Kula Project 🌱

Kula Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating poverty through entrepreneurial development in Rwanda’s coffee communities. Operating in Nyamasheke, Kayonza, and Gakenke districts, Kula provides a poverty graduation model that integrates:
Regenerative agriculture support
Entrepreneurial development
Business coaching

Our goal is to increase farmers’ household incomes, promote environmental sustainability, and foster gender equality, enabling coffee growers to transition from extreme poverty to sustainable prosperity.


1 Farm Trainer (Agronomist) – 2 Positions Available

📍 Location: Nyamasheke & Gakenke Districts
📅 Deadline: April 18, 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Train and mentor coffee farmers on best agronomic practices.
  • Provide technical support to help farmers improve crop yield and quality.
  • Conduct field assessments and develop training materials.
  • Promote sustainable agriculture in local communities.
  • Organize monthly group training sessions and conduct individual follow-ups.
  • Maintain detailed training records and reports.
  • Conduct field trials and research projects.

Job Requirements

Education: Degree/Diploma in Agriculture, Crop Production, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years working with farmers or in agricultural training.
Skills:

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Community engagement and farmer support experience.
  • Familiarity with data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox).
  • Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English.
    Location: Willingness to work in Nyamasheke or Gakenke district.


2 Business Coach – 1 Position Available

📍 Location: Kayonza District
📅 Deadline: April 18, 2025

Key Responsibilities

  • Support 30-50 farmers in launching new businesses during their fellowship.
  • Conduct baseline assessments and farmer selection processes.
  • Provide one-on-one and group business coaching.
  • Assist farmers in developing business strategies and financial plans.
  • Conduct market research to identify target audiences and trends.
  • Help farmers improve workflow efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Track program progress and provide regular evaluations.

Job Requirements

Education: Degree in Business, Economics, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
Experience: Background in business coaching, financial literacy training, or entrepreneurship.
Skills:

  • Strong coaching and facilitation abilities.
  • Business development experience (Ubushabitsi).
  • Familiarity with data collection tools.
  • Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English.
    Location: Willingness to work in Kayonza district.
